3D modeling involves the creation of a three-dimensional object inside a simulated software. The object(s) are created from simple shapes to complex high-polygon models. A polygon is just a triangle, so accumulative polygons are required to make a circle or complex object. The course offered online will unfold the basics of 3D modeling along with a detailed study into the designing which includes the design of snowflake, name card, spinning top, pendant, Eiffel tower etc.
This is an instructor-led course. In the 20 hours of the certification, students will get online Live training where they will get both the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to build the necessary skills. Francis Regan is the Director of Ionic3DP, Singapore. He has an M.Tech from the National University of Singapore with 5 years of experience with FDM and SLA type 3D printers. He has worked with two 3D printer startups, heading technology and innovation. In Ionic3DP, he is handling business aspects of the company and leads the team into new ventures. Considering his background in computer science and programming, he works on developing new software solutions for the company. Regan and team together in collaboration with the National University of Singapore, designed and developed a 3D printer based on Scott Russel Straight line mechanism - a robotic manipulator designed to work as a 3D printer. The team has continued and developed several other types of machines such as Epsilon, Theta, and Omega 3D printers. With their vast experience, the team has developed ceramic 3D printers based on a unique LDM technique. They hold several patents on their technology and their solutions are quite novel and unique. They are currently working on two styles of Medical ventilators for the Govt of India. Regan and team are also funded by the Govt of Kerala to work on India's first indigenous Metal 3D printers.
Apart from working on the business side of things, he is extremely hands-on in areas like IoT, firmware development and electronics, ensuring holistic solutions for the industry.
